## Summary

The London Borough of Hillingdon is conducting a procurement process for the upgrade of its existing Warden Call Systems in eight sheltered housing schemes, under the title "Hard wired Group Living Call System Upgrade - Phase 1". This project, categorized within the medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and personal care products industry, is currently in the Award stage. The procurement method is an open procedure, with a contract value amounting to £300,000. Notably, the contract period extends from 2 March 2020 to 26 June 2020, and essential site visits are mandatory for tenders to be considered. The tender was awarded on 2 March 2020, and the award notice was published on 4 April 2021.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in telecommunication systems and installation services, particularly SMEs with capabilities in building installation and maintenance. Companies that can provide robust design, supply, installation, and commissioning services are highly suited to compete. The requirement for mandatory site visits indicates a need for local expertise and familiarity with the projects, thus favouring contractors with a strong regional presence and previous experience in similar undertakings.
