## Summary

The procurement process is initiated by the University of Nottingham for the "G-Era Pilot scale CO2 Capturing Facility," aimed at the industrial machinery sector. The facility will be located at the RAD Building, Jubilee Campus, Nottingham, and is part of a project funded by the UK Government's Energy Research Accelerator. This open tender, classified under the main procurement category of goods, remains active with a tender period ending on 2 February 2018, and the contract period spanning from 27 February 2018 to 27 November 2018. Interested suppliers must register on the university's e-tendering system to express their interest before the deadline of 4 December 2014.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses involved in the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of industrial machinery, particularly those with capabilities in developing CO2 capture technologies. Companies that specialise in innovative engineering solutions, environmental technologies, and industrial systems would be well-suited to compete for this contract, as it involves advanced fluidised-bed systems and associated services. Engaging in this procurement could not only enhance a company's portfolio but may also open further opportunities within the government-funded projects aimed at sustainability and carbon capture.

## Notice

Circulating and bubbling fluidised-bed systems (CFB and BFB) are required to test new adsorbents for CO2 capture on a 5-20 kg scale using simulated and actual flue gases. The Facility is being funded by the Energy Research Accelerator award from the UK Government made to the University of Nottingham and other Midland Universities. It will be housed in a new building (RAD Building University of Nottingham, Jubilee Campus, Wollaton Road, Nottingham NG8 1BB) containing a purpose-built laboratory having dimensions of H 10m x W 12m x D 12m with full services, including gas supplies for compressed air, nitrogen and CO2. The scope of this tender for the proposed Facility covers the design, supplying all the components, except where otherwise specified, the installation and commissioning.
