Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly encouraged to participate, as the council seeks to foster inclusive programmes that promote social interactions and healthier lifestyles for vulnerable groups in the community. ## Notice The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council wishes to inform organisations of its plans for publishing a tender for Buddy Schemes for: * People with a learning disability or those who are neuro-diverse * People with physical disabilities and/or sensory impairment * Older people * People living with dementia Bradford Council Health and Wellbeing department, along with its strategic partners, has seen the health and social care system align with a single ambition for people in the district: Happy, Healthy and at Home. The Buddy Scheme will be to support people to make new friends and help them go out and do the things they enjoy. People will be matched with someone who enjoys the same activities so they can go together. We will be holding a market engagement event for Providers on: Thursday 21st April between 9am - 11:30am with the intention of publishing the tender in May 2022.
