Description: The Authority (LBTH) arranges Burials and Cremations, for residents who die or have been found dead within the Authority's boundaries be it at Hospital, Council or Private Care Home or their own homes where there is no family or third party to complete the funeral arrangements. This includes persons who may be of no fixed abode and who die within the geographical boundary of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The Provider shall undertake the Provision of Funeral Services/Arrangements as detailed in the supporting specification. The contract shall commence on the 3 April 2017 and, subject to satisfactory performance, shall continue until 31 March 2019, and following which and at the Authority's absolute discretion, the contract may be extended for up to a maximum of two (2) further years until 31 March 2021. The provider shall provide a price for Burial and a price for cremation. The anticipated contract start date is: Monday, 03 April 2017 The estimated value of the contract is: PS80,000 Total Cost For a period of: 4 Years Organisations wishing to express their interest are requested to register on the London Tenders Portal (www.londontenders.org) where the tender documentation will be available for download. You may be required to complete a Selection Questionnaire (SQ). Organisations must ensure that access to the system is available to their representatives dealing with the contract. The council will not be liable for the lack of delegated access within the organisation and will not send any documentation regarding the contract, which shall be exclusively available through the portal. Tenderers are responsible for allowing sufficient time to submit their tender. The Council accepts no liability whatsoever for tenders that are not submitted due to internet connectivity issues, transmission delays or errors.
