The Council aims to achieve the following outcomes: Carers are involved and co-produce services to meet their needs No carer will be left isolated or unsupported Carers are assisted to make informed choices Carers are supported to be active citizens , leading fulfilling lives and making a positive contribution to their communities Carers organisations have strategic leadership and promote partnership working The contract will commence on 1st April 2016 and will be for a period of 3 years, with an optional extension of up to 2 years, to be exercised at the Council's discretion.
