Tyne & Wear Building Preservation Trust is a small charity that has recently taken on a 99 Lease for the premises and received funding from the Community Renewal Fund to undertake these works. The works include the following: * Installation of a ladder access from the tower first level up to the roof with fall arrest system to the ladder and access gantry, and a fall arrest system Tower roof. * The external decoration of the louvres to the Tower. * The replacement of broken and missing slates to the Chancel roof, and the formation of mortar fillets to the watertables of the eastern gable wall of the Chancel. * Pointing up of a number of cracks to the arch stones to the eastern glazed entrance to the Nave. A Schedule of Works has been prepared and will be released to up to 6 parties who meet the quality criteria. Interested parties are asked to send three case studies of relevant projects to bev@twbpt.org.uk describing how they are relevant to the works required, explaining how they have managed the contract and range of technical skills employed and naming sub-contractors used.
