## Notice

Sheffield Histopathology service is looking to replace one tissue processor. The instrument is used for processing human tissue for clinical histology. Must have features of this instrument include: *Must be capable of conventional over-night tissue processing to a satisfactory standard of quality for a range of tissue types including fatty tissues and large tissue blocks. *Must have the capability to undertake rapid biopsy processing schedules. *Must have a minimum retort capacity of 200 standard sized cassettes. *Must have an easy to use reagent handling system with minimum bottle manipulation. *Must have an on-board reagent management system that automatically rotates alcohols and xylenes to ensure ongoing quality of tissue processing. *Must be an open platform that is able to use third party reagents. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender.
