## Summary

The procurement process is led by the Defra Network eTendering Portal for the project titled "NEA - CDF - Lot 1 - Tyneside Investment Plan," which pertains to civil engineering consultancy services and environmental engineering consultancy services. This project, located in Tyneside, aims to develop an Investment Plan addressing flood risks through a comprehensive review and economic assessment, among other tasks. The procurement method employed is selective, carried out as a call-off from a framework agreement. The tender process has reached the Award stage, with a total contract value of £40,000. The contract period runs from 19th October 2020 to 17th February 2021, and the tender period ended on 12th October 2020.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in civil and environmental engineering consultancy. Companies that excel in assessing flood risks, economic impacts, and developing sustainable solutions are particularly well-suited to compete. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have the potential to thrive in this bid, given the nature of the project and the emphasis on reducing whole life carbon impacts while enhancing natural capital. Engaging in this project can help these businesses gain valuable experience and establish a foothold in the growing market of environmental consultancy services.
