It will assess evidence on environmental attitudes and behaviours, as well as wider attitudes and behaviours that have a significant impact on the environment. The project is intended to help identify priority behaviours that it will be important to change in order to achieve the Government's long term vision of improving the environment within a generation. The project will identify and improve understanding of key target groups to inform behaviour change interventions, and propose evidence-based approaches and interventions to support and enable an increase in sustainable behaviours over short, medium and long term timescales. The project is expected to last 12 months, from January 2018 to January 2019. An interim report is suggested after approximately four months in May 2018. The draft research report is required in December 2018, with the final report in January 2019. The project is funded as part of Defra's Natural Environment and Rural Evidence Programme and is intended to inform implementation of the 25 Year Environment Plan.
