University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) is one of the largest teaching hospital Trusts in England and the West Midlands, serving a regional, national and international population. It includes Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, Birmingham Chest Clinic, Good Hope Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Solihull Hospital and various Community Services. We also run a number of smaller satellite units, allowing people to be treated as close to home as possible. As an NHS organisation, UHB will see and treat more than 2.2 million people every year across our sites UHB currently employs over 20,000 members of staff and we are committed to investing in their development and their health and wellbeing. As part of the on-going Cyber security programme and addressing the complex evolving threat landscape facing the National Health Service (NHS), UHB wishes to enhance the capabilities of its Cyber Security. UHB are seeking assistance from interested partners to help shape and enhance our security capabilities requirement to develop and deliver a 24/7 responsive team to monitor, assess and mitigate the threats and risks posed from cyber-attack or security breach. UHB is seeking to purchase 2 key elements to provide additional cyber support: 1) an audit of our existing incident investigation process/methodology within the Security Teams 2) a service which has the principle aim of reducing risk of exposure to UHB coming from an attack or security breach. The solution should address the requirements described in Annex 1 Feedback on Requirements. Suppliers who are able to offer solutions relevant to this requirement are invited to express an interest and respond to a market engagement questionnaire. Further details on how to do this are contained within the additional information section of this notice. This exercise is intended to provide potential bidders with the opportunity to review the Authority's Briefing Document and to provide information regarding the services they can offer that could meet these outline requirements. This builds on the Authority's commitment to engage with the market, by sharing information and seeking input from the market to enable us to develop the final specification and determine the appropriate route to market in a fair and transparent manner.
