The project involves excavation of floodplain soils at River Lambourn and River Kennet to facilitate river and floodplain restoration. The deadline for expressions of interest is 5pm on Tuesday 9th January 2024, with project completion by 31st March 2024. We are aware of the archaeological interest of the Kennet Valley and wish to employ an experienced archaeological consultant to deliver for both sites: 1. Archaeological Appraisal 2. Written Scheme of Investigation (WSI) 3. Outline price for proposed field work identified in task 2. This element to be formally added to contract as a compensation event. Site locations: River Lambourn at Bagnor Estate and River Kennet at Kintbury Project completion: 31 March 2024 Key Skills: Archaeological desk based assessments, planning field work, managing field work including Health and safety of construction activities.
