The Council is seeking to identify a suitable agency to operate the SENDIASS service within the Borough from 1 April 2019. The Children and Families Act 2014 requires local authorities to provide an Information, Advice and Support Service for parents and carers of children and young people with a Special Educational Need and Disability (SEND) and young people who have a SEND. The Service must provide high quality, impartial information, advice and support on a range of matters relating to education, health and social care. Further details of the service required are detailed in the specification in this document The contract is for a 3-year period with the possibility of an extension for a further 12 months subject to provision of budget.
