## Summary

The procurement process involved ESPO, a central purchasing body based in Leicester, England, which initiated a tender titled "198_20 Water System Risk Assessment and Water Hygiene." This procurement is classified under the health and safety services industry and aims to establish a multi-supplier framework agreement for water system risk assessments and water hygiene monitoring services. The contract has an estimated value of £16 million, spanning from 5 January 2021 to 31 December 2022, with the possibility of a 24-month extension. The open procedure allows public bodies across the UK to utilise the framework, and the tender period concluded on 9 November 2020.

This tender presents significant opportunities for SMEs and voluntary community sector enterprises, particularly those specialising in health and safety services, technical testing, and consultancy. Businesses that can offer comprehensive water system risk assessments, hygiene monitoring, and related services would be particularly well-suited to compete for contracts under this framework. The impending eAuction process for subsequent call-off contracts also enables landscape diversification for participating suppliers.
