The pathway aims to facilitate early intervention approaches; information gathering, appropriate and timely multi-disciplinary specialist assessment of ASD and ADHD and mental health disorders, pre and post diagnostic support for ASD and ADHD and transition to adulthood and/or adult services. Support children, young people and their parents/carers when they are referred for challenging behaviour. It coordinates involvement between different agencies and promotes partnership working with parents/carers and the children and young people. Giving the children/young person and parents/carers skills to manage behaviours to ensure good outcomes. The pathway will be delivered within an integrated system and supported by integrated strategies, policies and procedures.
