## Notice

The Ministry of Defence Police (MDP), the civilian police force within the Ministry of Defence, requires the services of a Radiation Protection Advisor (RPA) to provide assurance and guidance to the Chief Constable MDP. The role will ensure MDP complies with the Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017 (IRR17) and the RPA must be able to provide 24/7/365 support as part of the service. As part of this undertaking the RPA will be required to liaise and consult on behalf of CCMDP with Site Operators/Owners and their respective RPAs at all MDP locations to ensure MDP is aligned to the individual site requirements and submit written recommendations. The RPA will be required to undertake an agreed number of site visits annually and submit compliance reports. Due to the nature of the sites the MDP polices the RPA will be required to have the appropriate Government Security clearances. The RPA will be required to provide the appropriate and agreed Radiation Protection training to MDP Officers involved in work at Nuclear sites across the United Kingdom. This requirement is for a period of three years with a possible two year extension.
