## Summary

The West Midlands Combined Authority is currently in the planning stage of the "West Midlands Bike Share Scheme: Market Consultation". This initiative falls under the category of "Motorcycles, bicycles and sidecars" and is aimed at implementing a bike share scheme across urban areas within the West Midlands, including Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, and Wolverhampton. A market consultation event is scheduled for 5th September 2019, with a deadline for expressing interest by 30th August 2019 at 17:00.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in transportation, infrastructure development, and urban planning. Companies that specialise in bike share solutions or have experience in supplying integrated transport services would be particularly well-suited to compete. The outcome of the market consultation will inform a wider tender opportunity expected to be published in September 2019, leading to the selection of a preferred supplier by March 2020. Engaging in this consultation allows businesses to shape the procurement process and potentially secure a contract for providing essential services in the region.

## Notice

WMCA is seeking a single supplier to provide a high quality bike share scheme, with physical docking infrastructure with hybrid solutions, across the urban areas within each of the seven constituent authorities (Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton). WMCA expects to procure a supplier through a competitive dialogue process to be commenced following a market consultation day to be held in WMCA Offices in Birmingham on Thursday 5th September 2019. The purpose of the market consultation day is for WMCA to discuss its proposals for the scheme with potential suppliers with a view to preparing the procurement and informing the market of its procurement plans and requirements.
