## Summary

The procurement process is conducted by National Museums Liverpool for the "Chinese Ceramics Display AV Hardware" tender. This initiative falls within the goods category of IT services, specifically concerning consulting, software development, Internet, and support. The tender is situated in Liverpool, England, specifically in the North West region of the United Kingdom. The procurement began on 25th January 2021, with a contract duration extending until 19th March 2021. Bidders were required to submit tenders by the deadline of 14th January 2021, 12:00 UTC.

This project offers significant growth opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary community sector enterprises (VCSEs) engaged in the AV hardware industry. Companies that provide installation, configuration, and connection services for audiovisual equipment would be particularly well-positioned to compete. The creation of an immersive display experience aims to enhance visitor engagement, making this a compelling project for businesses looking to innovate in the public engagement and cultural sectors.

## Notice

Note - re the 'reveal' element of the display which is referenced in Appendix F (Tender Brief). We have agreed to not include this element in the display, so please do not include this in your tender returns. Bidders are asked to submit a formal tender for the "Chinese Ceramics display AV Hardware Tender". We require bidders to submit a tender for the provision of all AV Hardware equipment, the installation of all equipment and the positioning/configuration and connection of all equipment. Installation is due to commence on or around 8 March 2021 and be completed within two weeks. The World Cultures Gallery is located on the third floor of the World Museum. It displays the museum's anthropology collections and is the biggest permanent gallery across all of National Museums Liverpool's sites. The new display is part of the World Cultures Where Next project. The aim of this project is to remodel the World Cultures gallery making it more accessible and engaging for a range of visitors including family audiences, schools, young people, and individuals and groups who self identify with the collections on display. In short, the aim is to create a more inclusive, welcoming gallery that encourages visitors to join in with contemporary debates and conversations. We are creating a new display inspired by six of the Chinese ceramic objects from the collection and newly commissioned poetry inspired by the objects. The display will be an immersive experience using projection and audio, and we aim to create a 'wow factor' within the gallery. The Tender Brief (Appendix F) gives a full description of the display and the 3d Model Stills (Appendix G) gives a sense of how the display will look.
