Entrance design may include minor changes, which will lead to longer life cycle and reduced maintenance cost. Rear and side doors will be replaced with uPVC or composite materials, unless there is a specific requirement for the doors to be replaced with steel. (e.g. Heavy usage). The works will also include replacement suited locks. All front door replacements will include a 'fireman's drop switch', for emergency service access. The contractor is responsible for ensuring that the new door set links with the door entry system. All works include replacement glazing, any making good, asbestos removal if required. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
