## Summary

Durham County Council has issued a tender for the re-opening of the Provider Panel to deliver Intensive Support and Crisis Intervention Services for children, young people, and their families in County Durham. This procurement focuses on health and social work services, with a total value of up to £12,000,000 GBP. The tender is being conducted via an open procedure and encompasses five specific categories of need, each described in detail within the tender documents. The procurement process is currently at the tender stage, with key submission deadlines concluding on 26th February 2024 at 10:00 AM GMT. The subsequent contracts will commence on 1st April 2024, running through to 31st August 2025. The procurement aims to supplement the existing panel with additional service providers, reflecting a flexible agreement where panel membership can be adjusted based on demand, as deemed appropriate by the Council.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses, particularly those specialised in health and social services, including SMEs and VCSE organisations, to expand their service offerings. Firms with capabilities in managing intensive support packages for children with various needs—such as social communication challenges, severe mental health issues, risks of criminal exploitation, and more—will find this opportunity particularly relevant. With the possibility to bid for multiple categories and types of service packages, businesses can leverage this tender to secure positions on a provider panel that could lead to extended contracts and enhanced service visibility. This dynamic framework can foster business growth through potential high-value service agreements while contributing essential support to vulnerable children and their families in the region.
