## Summary

The Home Office is overseeing a procurement process titled "Invitations of Applications - PAVA spray testing for Home Office Certification." This initiative falls under the industry category of laboratory services and is currently in the planning stage. The procurement process involves assessing PAVA spray devices to ensure they meet the Home Office Standard for Police Chemical Irritant Sprays. Located in the South West region of the United Kingdom, interested suppliers must engage by 7th October 2025, which is the engagement end date. Prospective applicants are directed to submit their interest through the Home Office's Jaggaer eSourcing portal, referencing pqq_708 for the RFI download and submission.

This tender provides significant opportunities for businesses involved in producing, testing, and certifying chemical irritant sprays within the laboratory services sector. It is particularly suited for SMEs and voluntary or charitable organisations due to its suitability requirements. The process invites manufacturers to demonstrate their capabilities in meeting rigorous safety standards, which can lead to increased credibility and potential new business partnerships. Companies that are adept at navigating the certification process and have robust technical documentation practices would be well-positioned to compete successfully.
