Located on the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire, Diamond Light Source (DLS) is a leading-edge facility for science, engineering and innovation. This will be transformative in speed and spatial resolution and will offer users streamlined access to enhanced instruments for life and physical sciences. The scope of the contract is to design, manufacture, deliver, install and commission six identical 500 MHz solid state RF amplifiers subject to the performance specification detailed in this document. Each amplifier shall be capable of delivering any value of power up to 120 kW in continuous wave operation for extended periods and also of pulsed operation from zero to maximum power at arbitrary duty cycle.
