This initiative, managed by the NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit, is aimed at reviewing patient access to dental care during non-operational hours of dental practices. A key milestone for stakeholders is the engagement end date, which is set for 23rd February 2018. The initial market engagement event will take place on 21st October 2015, with additional details available via accompanying documents submitted to relevant parties. The opportunities are well-suited to service providers who can demonstrate capability in delivering flexible and responsive services to meet community needs across the South West region. ## Notice Open early engagement - This is an idea in the early stages of development which is open to input from industry. NHS England South Region is reviewing the way patients in the South West access out of hours dental care services during the time dental practices are closed. Prior to any formal procurement process, NHS England South Region is carrying out a pre-procurement market engagement events and is keen to meet and engage with prospective Providers to discuss the proposed service specification and model. Commissioners will give a presentation setting out the possible options of providing Out of Hours Dental services in Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Somerset, North Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire . Following the presentation providers will be invited to attend individual sessions with commissioners to discuss possible ideas for the service in more detail. There will be two Market Engagement Events held on Wednesday 21st October 2015. Both events will contain the same content and will be delivered by the same commissioners. Interested parties need only attend one of the events. The first Market Engagement Event will be held in Taunton. The event will start at 1.30pm and is expected to run through to 4.30pm. The second Market Engagement Event will be held in Saltash. The event will start at 7.00pm and will run through to 10.00pm if required. If you would like to book a place please complete the attendance form attached to this notice and return to Mark Harding at clinical.procurement@swcsu.nhs.uk by 12 midday on Wednesday 7th October 2015. Availability for this event is limited to two individuals per organisation. A draft specification will be issued to interested providers upon receipt of a completed attendance form. Additional information: Please note this invitation has been issued purely as an information seeking exercise and is not part of any formal procurement process. Participation in the Market Engagement event does not guarantee selection in any future procurement process. NHS England is not liable for costs incurred by any interested party in participating in this exercise.
