## Summary

The procurement process initiated by the Ministry of Defence, located in Bristol, England, involves a framework contract for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of Royal Navy platforms, particularly focusing on electrical, power, and distribution items. Under the award stage of this process, the contract spans from 13 January 2026 to 1 July 2027, with a potential maximum value of £317 million. This selective procedure, conducted under the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations (DSPCR) 2011, follows a restricted procedure (above threshold). The main industry category is repair and maintenance services of warships, covering locations across the United Kingdom, British Overseas Territories, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Europe, and globally.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in maritime services, especially those specialising in maintenance and repair of naval vessels. With the framework allowing multiple call-off contracts to 16 suppliers and ongoing mini-competitions, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate. This arrangement offers a structured platform for businesses to engage in a competitive environment, potentially enhancing their portfolios and fostering growth through governmental contracts, leveraging the extensive need for ship maintenance services managed by Defence Equipment Support (DES).
