The section of phase 1 under consideration is between its junctions with the B 5187 (Stopgate Lane) and the Showcase Cinema Retail Development (Approx. 1.7km in length) The proposed works include:- * Carriageway resurfacing * Road Markings * Installation of Loop Detectors The objectives for this project are:- * To improve road safety for both road users and the local community. * To support regeneration in the area. The Works Contract shall carry out the following:- * Resurfacing along the A580 from Stopgate Junction to Showcase Cinema Junction * New road markings and road studs. * Installation of Loop Detectors at all junctions from Stopgate Junction to Showcase Cinema Junction.
