The project is also delivering improved visitor facilities including a new cafe; site-wide interpretation scheme; woodland play-and-learn area and outdoor classroom; new education resources, apprenticeship and volunteering roles and opportunities to get local communities involved. As part of the wider project, the new interpretation scheme will include a series of interpretation graphic panels throughout the site; trails for plant enthusiasts and families and; a projected animation and soundscape in the castle. The scheme aims to promote exploration and discovery, through shared intergenerational experiences that engage visitors with the story of the site.
