The WHEELS service focuses on the short-term provision of wheelchairs to discharged patients. Potential suppliers are invited to respond to the requirement through an online form by 30th August 2024. Located in the West Midlands, the trust seeks a bespoke solution rather than an off-the-shelf product. The procurement stage is currently in planning, with the engagement period ending on 30th August 2024.

This tender offers substantial business growth opportunities for software development firms that specialise in bespoke IT solutions for healthcare. Ideal candidates are those capable of integrating complex medical systems and catering to specific operational needs without relying on generic software products. Companies with experience in referral management, prescription management, and inventory control solutions will find this opportunity particularly beneficial. Engaging in this project could lead to long-term collaborations and the potential for scaling similar solutions across other hospital trusts and regions.
