## Summary

The Water Services Regulation Authority (Ofwat) is seeking legal services for the "Lot 2 - OFWATs Direct Procurement for Customers Initiative - Work Package 001," which aims to support the development of the legal and policy framework in relation to Direct Procurement for Customers (DPC). This procurement falls under the services category and has a total contract value of £50,000. The tender period ended on 10 September 2018, with the contract period spanning from 21 October 2019 to 31 March 2020. The procurement was conducted through an open procedure, allowing a wide range of suppliers to submit their bids. The primary locations for delivery are in Birmingham and London, United Kingdom.

This tender presents significant opportunities for legal firms specialising in commercial law, competition law, public law, and public procurement law, particularly those familiar with utilities contracts. It is notably suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that can provide the required legal expertise to advise Ofwat on the complexities of DPC projects. Businesses capable of navigating the legal and regulatory landscape of the water industry, and those with experience in advising regulatory bodies, would find this opportunity particularly relevant for growth and involvement in significant public sector projects.
