## Summary

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust, along with two other NHS Trusts and three clinical commissioning groups, is currently in the planning stage for a procurement titled "Pathology Outsourcing" aimed at awarding contracts for comprehensive pathology services. This procurement falls under the light touch regime as per the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, allowing flexibility in process. The engagement deadline is set for 19th May 2019, with a market engagement day scheduled for 29th April 2019, at Harlow College Hall, to discuss the scope and gather market feedback on the procurement process.

This contract represents a significant opportunity for suppliers in the healthcare and laboratory services sectors, specifically those specialising in pathology services, including blood sciences, microbiology, and laboratory facilities. Businesses with expertise in providing comprehensive and compliant pathology solutions, as well as those capable of supporting the operational needs of NHS entities, would be particularly well-suited to compete. This procurement aims to enhance service quality and sustainability within the NHS, offering an excellent avenue for growth for the selected contractors.
