## Notice

Derbyshire County Council is seeking to appoint VAT consultants to provide Local Authority general VAT advice and specialist VAT and taxation advice. The Council has an annual revenue budget of approximately PS1bn and capital spend of approximately PS60m. In carrying out its activities, it is important that the correct VAT treatment is applied on its financial transactions e.g. business or non-business. The Council is also responsible for the VAT administration and advice for both Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, and Peak District National Park Authority. The Council also administers the Local Government Pension Scheme for employees, pensioners and dependents of a variety of bodies in Derbyshire, including local authorities, police and fire authorities.
