The first was named 'Frogs & Logs' in 2021 which was for a suite of works to improve habitat and biodiversity in Solihull urban areas, and a proposed contract for Pond & Brook Enhancement in Tudor Grange Park was included. This was followed in 2021 by a separate SHG application for Alder Brook, for naturalisation of the brook in Tudor Grange Park immediately downstream of the pond. Another SHG application was approved in 2022 named 'Hedges & Sedges' for works in Hillfield Park, which included similar proposed works to the pond and watercourses there. The aggregate overall budget for the SHG grants is formed by 60% Solihull MBC funds and 40% match funding from ERDF. The budgets identified in the separate SHG projects are as follows: Frogs & Logs Pond & Brook Enhancement works PS159,306; Alder Brook Enhancement works PS65,167; Hedges & Sedges (Hillfield Park) Pond & Brook Enhancement works PS171,082.74. Total value of combined works PS395,555.74.
