The contract will be held for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for 2 additional years on an annual basis (3+1+1). The Central Search Area is currently going through a process of redesign. There are currently 12 lanes in the current area. This is due to be expanded to allow the capacity to be increased by an additional 4 lanes. Of the 12 current lanes, 8 are TRS and the remaining 4 are passive. London Luton Airport is seeking a supplier for 1 of 3 options; all options include 4no. X-Ray machines, 4no. fully automated Tray Return System (TRS) and a recheck work station and associated software package for each lane. The software package shall include a dashboard requirement as per Appendix 2. Options are based on the software package offered and its integration into the existing operation or delivery as a stand-alone solution.
