## Summary

The Ministry of Defence is initiating a tender for refurbishment works on properties across the Central Region as part of the Future Defence Infrastructure Service, aimed at maintaining military accommodations. This procurement, categorised under CPV code 45262690 for the refurbishment of run-down buildings, is currently in the planning stage. The tender is set to close for expressions of interest on 21st April 2022 at 15:00hrs, with the contract period running from 1st September 2022 to 31st March 2023. The locations for the refurbishment include areas in the East Midlands, Yorkshire and the Humber, West Midlands, East of England, and Wales, with a total estimated value of £113,000.

This opportunity is ideal for SMEs engaged in construction and refurbishment services, particularly those experienced in delivering to MOD standards. Companies should possess a high level of certification such as being a member of Constructionline at Gold Level 3, and be comfortable working within a Building Information Management (BIM) Level 2 environment. Those interested must also be prepared to provide comprehensive project solutions, as the successful bidders will be expected to adhere to strict quality and safety guidelines while contributing to social value initiatives. This tender presents a significant opportunity for growth in an evolving sector, particularly for firms with a robust Corporate Social Responsibility policy.
