## Summary

The procurement process, initiated by Transport for London (TfL), is presently at the planning stage for the "Call for Competition - Rail Replacement" under the industry category of Public road transport services. The process is focused on London, United Kingdom, targeting a significant engagement milestone with a due date set for 20th January 2026. TfL, a key public transport organisation under the Greater London Authority, is overseeing this tender. Potential suppliers should note the standstill period policy that TfL will incorporate, allowing a minimum of 10 calendar days for bid challenges post-decision, reinforcing transparency and fair opportunity before contract awarding. This is in accordance with the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2006.

This tender represents a substantial opportunity for business growth, particularly for SMEs and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) suited to deliver public road transport services in the London area. Engagement in this tender process could lead to alliances with TfL, enhancing business portfolios and expanding market presence in the transport sector. Given the emphasis on competitiveness and innovation for public services, businesses specialising in scalable and efficient transport solutions may have a strategic advantage. Interested parties should consider preparing to engage in this vital infrastructure project, capitalising on TfL's wide-reaching urban transport network and impact.
