## Summary

The Defra Network eTendering Portal has completed a tender process for "Disinfectant Efficacy Testing," focusing on laboratory services within the public sector. This procurement falls under the category of supporting services for the government and is aimed at evaluating disinfectants for efficacy against Foot and Mouth Disease Virus (FMD) and Swine Vesicular Disease (SVD). The tender had a monetary value of £237,360 and was executed through a limited procurement method, which does not require prior publication of a contract notice. The contract period began on 1st June 2016 and extends until 30th November 2018, with the tender period concluding on 2nd May 2016.

This tender represents significant opportunities for businesses in the fields of laboratory services, research, and disinfectant manufacturing. Companies specialising in scientific testing and approval processes, particularly those that can demonstrate competency in efficacy testing for biosecurity measures, would be well-suited to compete in this space. Additionally, suppliers that can navigate e-tendering platforms such as Bravo, as required for this procurement, will have an advantage in securing similar contracts moving forward.
