Following the consultation, DCC cabinet has committed significant financial resource from its Towns and Villages programme towards the masterplan. A multi-disciplinary team were appointed to work in partnership with DCC to develop a masterplan and a delivery strategy for the numbered streets in Horden. Durham County Council intends to approach the market to establish a Joint venture or equivalent to deliver this project. Tender documentation will be released via NEPO system in October 2024. All interested parties must register and express their interest via the portal only.
