## Summary

National Highways, a public sector organisation in England, has completed a procurement process with the project title "Task Order from PDF framework for M53 SB to M56 EB DS". This project falls under the industry category of "Surface work for highways" and is located in both the North East and North West regions of the United Kingdom. The procurement process was executed using a selective method as a call-off from a framework agreement. The contract period for the awarded works commenced on 6th June 2025 and concluded on 19th August 2025, with the tender period ending on 5th June 2025. This process is now at the award stage, with Octavius Infrastructure Limited and Breedon Colas JV involved as principal contractors.

This highway resurfacing and associated works contract presents significant opportunities for businesses operating within the civil engineering and infrastructure sectors. The contract, valued at approximately £764,715.60, involved multiple subcontractors for specific tasks such as resurfacing, road markings, traffic management, and infrastructure checks. Businesses capable of delivering specialised services in road construction, safety systems installation, and traffic management systems could find vast opportunities for growth through similar tenders. In particular, small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are deemed suitable to participate in such procurement processes, aligning with the procuring entity's preference for inclusive business growth.
