## Summary

The Home Office is seeking suppliers for the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC) through a selective procurement process, specifically employing a competitive procedure with negotiation. This procurement process focuses on support services for asylum seekers and those with refugee status, divided into seven lots relevant to different UK Visas and Immigration regions. The tender period concludes on 17th December 2017, and services are expected to commence on 1st September 2019, continuing until 31st August 2029. This tender is categorised under services, particularly in letting services of short-stay furnished accommodation, and has a total value estimated at £4 billion, with a minimum threshold of £3 billion.

This procurement opportunity can significantly benefit businesses specialising in accommodation services, transport, and social support, particularly those with local capacity and understanding of community cohesion. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary and community sector enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to compete. Companies familiar with local authorities and community groups will find this tender well-suited to their expertise, thereby enhancing their prospects for business growth while contributing to vital support services for vulnerable populations.
