## Summary

The public procurement process involves a tender titled "CEFAS20-06- Cefas-RFQ- Marine collision risk assessment," initiated by the Defra Network eTendering Portal. This procurement falls under the services industry, specifically focusing on feasibility studies and related consultancy services. The tender period ended on 26 August 2020, with the contract awarded on 15 September 2020, commencing on 16 September 2020 and set to conclude on 31 December 2020. This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in marine studies, risk assessments, and consultancy services related to maritime infrastructure. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that can demonstrate relevant expertise in conducting feasibility studies and analysing risks may find this a suitable avenue for growth. Competing firms should be adept at assessing collision risks and providing strategic recommendations, making them well-positioned to leverage this opportunity for business development within the marine industry.

## Notice

The objective of this study is to assess and quantify the risk marine vessels may pose to marine infrastructure (subtidal intakes and outfalls) of the proposed Bradwell B project. The aim is to describe vessel activity within the general infrastructure siting zone*, determine areas of greater or lower risk and to make recommendations for the siting of marine infrastructure in relation to the risk from vessels and other mitigation measures which could be applied. A quantitative risk assessment of the risk of incidents with subtidal infrastructure sites is required. The primary requirement is to assess the frequency of collision incidents that have the potential to result in the partial or total loss of marine intakes and outfalls functionality.
