## Summary

Bury Council has recently completed a tender process for the "Provision of Care at Home Service," classified under social services within the healthcare industry. The procurement process was conducted using an open procedure and has moved to the award stage as of 9th August 2017. The contract period commenced on 11th September 2017 and will run until 10th September 2020, with a total value of £5,000,000. This initiative is aimed at enhancing care services for adults over and under 65 with various support needs in the North West region of England.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the care sector, particularly those offering social care and support services for vulnerable groups, including individuals with mental health conditions, physical disabilities, and dementia. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) along with voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations are encouraged to engage with the newly established service framework, which is designed to accommodate both established providers and new entrants. The framework will facilitate flexible service delivery across different zones and aims to respond dynamically to the needs of the local community.
