## Summary

The National Coal Mining Museum for England Trust Ltd is planning to initiate a tender for the "Safety Critical Worker (SCW) Medical Fitness Assessment". This procurement, categorised under health and social work services, is set to be conducted in Wakefield, England. The contract period begins on 5 March 2018 and concludes on 15 April 2018. The museum is looking for suppliers to conduct comprehensive medical assessments for their staff, including drug screening and general health evaluations, under a competitive quotation procurement method that is limited and below the threshold. A future notice is expected on 16 April 2018.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses in the healthcare and occupational health sectors, particularly those offering medical evaluation services or health and wellbeing assessments. Suppliers such as GP Federations, health centres, and organisations experienced in on-site and off-site medical services would be well-suited to compete. Engaging in this procurement could enhance business visibility and foster collaboration with a prominent institution dedicated to ensuring the wellbeing of its staff and visitors.

## Notice

The National Coal Mining Museum for England is aware of the need to ensure the health and wellbeing of all of our guides and guest critical staff, in order to ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience for our guests. In line with our objectives we will look to appoint a contractor to conduct Safety Critical Worker (SCW) medical fitness assessments, covering general health assessments, height, weight, BMI, ophthalmic and audiometric assessments, drug and alcohol screening, spirometry and urinalysis as required. As the site is part of the National Coal Mining Museum for England visitors and guests may be on site so any solution must bear that in mind. We will welcome proposals involving on site or off site solutions, from GP Federations or Health and Wellbeing centres both public and private in nature. We invite suppliers, contractors and interested organisations to advise us as to costs, expected achievements and translation estimates - grounded in factual analysis and projections - of what could be expected through any health assessments thus undertaken.
