This will also be used to test cables with simulated submarine operational stresses including accelerated aging and thermal cycling; and Lot 3 - Upgrade of existing laboratory equipment for superimposed impulse testing of HVDC cables - using the ORE Catapult' existing 1 MV DC power supply to carry out superimposed impulse testing.
