These negative experiences can result in complex trauma that can manifest as low self-esteem, severe insecurity in relationships, emotional dysregulation, and high stress responses. For some people these needs can result in controlling and aggressive/violent behaviours towards their partners. The specialist intervention will help clients to achieve positive behaviour change by resolving their past trauma and gaining an understanding about how those past experiences contribute to their current aggressive behaviours.
