The company handles household and residual waste (circa 400,000 tonnes p.a) in Lancashire. As an integral part of processing the waste at the two sites, the company requires a range of mobile plant such as front end wheel loaders, loadalls, teletrucks, and forklift trucks. Commencing from 1st July 2021 we intended to replace the ageing / existing equipment with new units; either through outright purchase or a long term contract lease agreements from a single service provider. As part of the market testing we are hoping to review & clarify certain criteria that will help us in creating a final tender specification. Typical criteria may include, but not be restricted to, the following topics: Appropriate equipment specifications to suit our operating conditions & environment. Alternative technologies to support targets for carbon reduction. Equipment reliability & arrangements for service support. Breakdown support, response times & contingency planning. Tyre management.
