The TVCA has been allocated £300K by the government to invest in upskilling the local workforce to support the hydrogen transport hub in the Tees Valley. The RFI aims to assess the market capacity and expertise to deliver the project, with a focus on assets supporting the hydrogen transport curriculum. The engagement end date for the RFI is set for 21st March 2024. This opportunity presents a chance for businesses in the transport equipment and education sectors to demonstrate their capabilities in delivering assets for upskilling and training purposes in the Tees Valley. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations are encouraged to participate in this market engagement exercise. Businesses interested in contributing to the hydrogen transport hub project should register on the ProContract e-tendering portal to access the RFI documentation and showcase their offerings to the TVCA. ## Notice Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) would like to engage with the market as part of the development of the Tees Valley Hydrogen Transport Hub. To support the UK's first ever hydrogen transport hub which is in located in the Tees valley, the TVCA have been given PS300K of funding by the government to support the upskilling of the local workforce. The funding is to invest in a capital asset purchase for the purpose of upskilling and training in the Tees Valley, so we have a pipeline of talent to support the hydrogen transport hub. The asset or assets needs to directly support the Hydrogen transport curriculum in the Tees Valley. TVCA wish to understand the capacity and level of expertise within the market to deliver this project. Your responses will allow TVCA to gauge the size and type of organisations interested in providing the goods/service, the type of assets available, and the timeframes to expect. Please refer to the RFI document for further detail.
