## Summary

The Balfour Beatty VINCI joint venture, through its buyer BIP SOLUTIONS LIMITED, recently awarded a contract for the installation and determination of secondary permanent ground markers under a service procurement category. The tender titled "BBV HS2 MWCC North - Secondary Permanent Ground Markers Installation and Determination" was awarded on 30th July 2021. The procurement method used was an open procedure. The contract period was from 3rd May 2021 to 31st December 2021. This opportunity was located in Birmingham, United Kingdom, and aimed to engage the local supply chain for surfacing works.

This tender offers business growth opportunities especially for suppliers in the architectural, construction, engineering, and inspection services sector. As the contract focused on quality checks and installations of ground markers, businesses with expertise in civil engineering and infrastructure projects would be well-suited to compete. The buyer, BIP SOLUTIONS LIMITED, sought suppliers who aligned with their values of integrity, leadership, respect, and safety. Shortlisted suppliers needed verifiable experience, appropriate capacity, resources, and technical ability to carry out the scope of works. The successful tenderer, Murphy Geospatial, demonstrated these capabilities effectively, highlighting the potential for similar businesses to succeed in future tenders of this nature.
