## Summary

Nottingham City Council is currently in the tender stage for the project titled "CPU 5010 - Welcome Back Fund - Installation / Trail for Nottingham City Centre". This initiative falls under the artistic and literary creation services industry category, with a total budget of £50,000. The tender period concludes on 18th October 2021, while the contract is set to commence on 6th December 2021 and extend until 4th March 2022. The project aims to encourage footfall in the city centre through creative interventions during the February half-term, specifically targeting the duration from 12th to 20th February 2022, in the East Midlands region of the United Kingdom.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations, particularly those in the arts and creative sector. Businesses that can offer innovative and engaging installations suitable for a family audience are well-positioned to compete. By participating in this project, companies can not only contribute to the revival of Nottingham's high street but also enhance their visibility and build lasting connections within the community.

## Notice

The Welcome Back Fund is providing Local Authorities across England a share of PS56 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to support the safe return to high streets and help build back better from the pandemic. Nottingham City Council has allocated a portion of its awarded Welcome Back Fund to stage a series of events, aiming to entice both residents and tourists back into the city. The projects aim is to increase footfall in the city. Nottingham City Council are seeking proposals from artists and creatives to provide interventions in our City Centre locations, during the February half term 2022 (12th - 20th of February 2022). This may form a trail of installations, attracting a family audience into the city centre, encouraging exploration and repeat visits. This approach should also allow for COVID safe presentation, regardless of any restrictions in place at the time. All information can be found via www.eastmidstenders.org, DN572228
