Participation will also result in a confident HM Government (HMG) that knows how to use the media to its advantage in a crisis overseas. A key FCO priority is to protect our people including at times of crisis, through effective and swift crisis response. Crises can include terrorist attacks, natural disasters, civil unrest, and large-scale accidents, all of which can leave large numbers of British nationals in need of urgent help from Embassies and Consulates overseas. As part of our work preparing for these crises, we need Media Trainers for Media Skills Segments on a range of Crisis Management courses and exercises. We are looking for a professional media training service to provide both theory and practical training through and within established FCO delivered training programmes organised by the FCO's Crisis Management Department (CMD); courses will be delivered in London and at overseas locations.
