This state of the art, wet and dry centre located at Bar End, Winchester will replace River Park Leisure Centre, a facility which has reached the end of its intended life. The new centre will comprise of the following facilities: * 8 lane x 50m main swimming pool * 20m x 10m learner pool * hydrotherapy pool * splash pad * 200-station health and fitness suite * spinning studio * 8-court sports hall * 4 squash courts * 2 activity studios * clip and climb * 8 treatment rooms * cafe. The contract will also include the adjacent Winchester Sports Stadium, which is home to a 400m, 8-lanesynthetic athletics track, 100m x 60m artificial grass pitch and a clubhouse. The contract falls within Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and is being procured via a hybrid of an open type procedure with the Council reserving the right to negotiate at its sole discretion. The Contract will commence on 01 May 2021 and will be for a period of 15 years (with the option to extend for a further 5 years).
