## Notice

The Council has supported an unprecedented number of Afghan Refugees on Government Resettlement Schemes over a very short period of time. The families were served eviction notices from the Doncaster Hotel where they were staying by the Home Office, and, if they had not been resettled, it is likely that they would have presented to the Council as Homeless. As none of the families have any furniture, we have used a local (Doncaster) not for profit organisation to provide the furniture for the families. There was not enough time to carry out a procurement exercise. Some of families will move into more permanent homes over the next 6 months.
