## Summary

The procurement process for maintaining and repairing fire and intruder alarms across all schools in the Abbey Multi Academy Trust has reached the award stage, with the contract being awarded to ADT Fire and Security Plc. The contract, valued at approximately £70,954.54, is scheduled to commence on 1st September 2025 and run until 31st August 2027. The procurement method utilised is selective, through a dynamic purchasing system, which encourages competition and quality service delivery. This contract involves a comprehensive service to ensure safety via planned routine inspections, emergency response, and technical support 24/7, with operations based in Yorkshire and the Humber, UK, aligning with the industry categories of electrical and mechanical equipment installation, and fire protection services.

This tender presents substantial growth opportunities for businesses that specialise in fire and security services, specifically those accredited by industry bodies such as NSI and BAFE. The procurement is particularly compatible for SMEs with the capability to handle complex alarm systems, provide rapid emergency response, and utilise technologies like Nimbus for centralised monitoring of alarm faults. Suppliers must demonstrate expertise, offer a dedicated account manager, and provide 24/7 availability for service delivery. By securing such contracts, businesses can leverage the chance to offer high-quality services to educational institutions, fostering long-term relationships and enhancing their portfolio within the UK public sector.
